What, you were expecting me to put something here? Well, I guess I should say hi…

  • New image-id release 2.1.0

This release switches the build system to gnu autotools, allowing me to add some logic so you can build against either libmirage 2.1 or 3.0! (Older versions of libmirage are not supported) You now use the standard invocation ./configure && make to build the package, and there is a working make install as well. Download…

  • New image-id release 2.0.0

A new version of image-id is now out! No new features, this release is purely to fix compatibility with the new version of the libMirage library, version 3.0.x. If you have an older version of libMirage, please continue to use image-id version 1.0.0. Grab the code from the Github release page.

  • Fall 2014

Well, it’s time for me to make the list of stuff that I’m watching this season. Here’s the what and why. Fumoffu Holy Grail Shocking Truth Tier Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works – An anime version of the second route in the VN, in some ways replacing the earlier Fate/stay night anime due to (hopefully)…

  • Now on IPv6

After a few glitches where I hit multiple bugs in their image transfer system, I moved this site to DigitalOcean’s new NYC3 site with IPv6 support. So, uh, have at it!

  • Summer 2014

The season is already almost over. What am I doing writing this up so late. At least I have a proper impression of all the shows that I’m watching… Stuff that I’ve been looking forwards to every week Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun – Lets just say that someone bought a domain just to make this page:…

  • Spring 2014

It’s spring, the sun is hidden behind the clouds, the snow is gently falling then getting heavier and heavier until we’re buried. Again. In the subzero weather. This being Canada, it’s nice to escape to Anime for a bit; so lets see what’s in the upcoming season. Things that are SHAFT More *Monogatari. Maybe. I…

  • Incomplete Sci-Fi Story

So, when poking around my Documents directory, I found this incomplete short piece of Science Fiction. Might as well share it… I wake up to find him still sitting at the workbench he’d been hunched over hours ago when I’d given up for the night. He hears the rustle as I search the nearby floor…

  • Winter 2013/2014

Alright; a new season of Anime is soon to be upon us. Lets see what there will be. Can’t Miss This Space ☆ Dandy – Imagine if Shinichiro Watanabe came back and made a new Anime about some interesting people in space, and it will be awesome. Only downside is that Yoko Kanno isn’t doing…

  • Digital Dark Age

I vow: To not delete content. To preserve URLs (or redirect them if all else fails). To keep this site up for as long as I am able. To make sure that the Internet Archive can see my content, in case I fail at any of the above.

  • Ender’s Game Movie

All in all, I’m actually quite surprised with how well the adaption of the Ender’s Game novel to the big screen went. There were changes made – but for the most part, they really did make sense. A fairly significant amount of material was dropped, but for the most part it wasn’t really story-critical and…

  • The pull of MusicBrainz contributing

MusicBrainz contributors tend to be quite… thorough sorts of folks. Lets take a look at what I’ve been up to over the course of the past few days. Day 1 I’ve worked on a few Picard patches recently, including one that allows tagger script to access metadata from loaded files, and another that saves MusicBrainz…

  • Fall 2013

Hmm. I’ve been looking a bit at the upcoming season based on the announced series. There’s, well, not really that much that interests me listed yet. But here’s a start to my list: SHOWS THAT LIVE UP TO THE HYPE SO FAR Kill la Kill Shows I took a look at Nagi no Asakura: I’ve…
